Ouray Waterfall Wedding: Dianna + Josh

Summertime. Hiking. Lush greenery. Waterfalls. These are four of my favorite things. So you can imagine my excitement when Dianna and Josh told me their plan to hike to the falls above Ouray. But their story gets even more fun when you hear that their pans of a small elopement with just their family members changed, as the list of guests that wanted to join kept growing. By the day of the wedding, I ended up hiking with approximately 40 enthusiastic guests up to the waterfall. The tourists and local hikers watched as a rowdy, and ready bunch of wedding folk, ascended on the falls. Some even carrying chairs.

After the I Do’s, the couple and I headed out to the mountains for some scenic photos in some secret places that I love to bring couples. After some wonderful hiking around the Ouray area for photo opts we headed back to town for the couple’s reception at The Beaumont Hotel and Spa. Did I mention that the bride (and a few brave guests) hiked in heels?! See photos for proof.
