Late Fall La Plata Mountains Elopement: Elizabeth + Carson

Elizabeth and Carson had one request: bring them to the San Juan National Forest for their elopement. They weren’t picky about needing to find fall colors or how long we would be driving for. Just ready for an adventure and ready to get hitched! We started our day at Blue Lake Ranch in Hesperus, where the couple was staying in their own private rental home by the river. They had their first look under the colorful fall leaves before we set out to the La Plata Mountains. I was very impressed that the couple and their two friends were willing to four-wheel so high up with me. They just kept saying, “We trust you” - my three favorite words when it comes to elopements. Because of their adventurous attitude, we were able to go to one of my favorite locations, that I hadn’t yet taken anyone to for any elopement. It was a magical and unique day filled with so much beauty and love!
